KEN BECKER

As early as the eighth grade Ken knew he wanted to be a part of the marketing, advertising and public relations industry. Armed with a major in advertising and a minor in psychology, a quick wit and a creative attitude Ken started his career as a copy/contact person for some of Silicon Valley’s top agencies, which specialized in high-tech, biomedical, homebuilding and hospitality. After a brief stint as an Army journalist, his career took him to Southern California to become the creative director of an 85-person agency. He stayed for a decade before he and Leonore opened up their own shop with offices in Sacramento and Orange County.
Along the way, Ken created highly-productive campaigns for everything from the conversion of Sacramento’s largest Air Force Base to a residential master-planned community to an Animal Blood Bank to a credit union that exclusively served the needs of the California Highway Patrol. As you might guess, Ken loves learning new industries, persuading new groups of consumers and the challenge of breaking new ground with designs, words and websites. To round out his experience, Ken shifted to the client side of the desk, a brand new perspective for him, working first as a vice president of corporate marketing and then as a vice president of sales and marketing for two large homebuilders. Now, he comes back to the agency side with a greater appreciation of client expectations, issues and problems that must be addressed.
His love of language has led him to author two books, mount the podium as a professional speaker and continue to craft concepts, headlines and copy that not only win awards, but gain the attention and response of consumers.
